IVY EKONG BLOG

My very first blog post this year is about my trip to Malta. I'm so glad we went on this holiday and to this destination. I never knew in my wildest dreams that Malta was such a beautiful Island. We stayed at the famous Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, and our stay was simply magical. The weather was also very warm which was really amazing.

For those of you hearing about Malta for the first time, here's a little background; Malta is the largest island and the cultural, commercial and administrative centre.  Wherever you go, the scenery and architecture provide a spectacular backdrop. The colours are striking, honey-coloured stone against the deepest of Mediterranean blues. Malta has been described as one big open-air museum. What makes it unique is that so much of the past is visible today. Delve into the island's mysterious prehistory, retrace the footsteps of St. Paul or see where the Knights of St. John fought their most famous battles. Malta is holidaying as the mood takes you. And with near year-round sun, you can indulge in outdoor living at its best. In just a kilometre or two, you can try a new sport, laze on an island cruise and tour the most important historic sites, and still have time to join in the nightlife. That's the real advantage of a stay here. We were told by the taxi driver who picked us up from the airport, that the general population consist of only 450,000 people. She also said that the island is so small that you can tour the whole island in an hour. Islands such as Gozo and Comino are so beautiful.

We visited Mdina, and went to tour the historic buildings. In Malta everywhere you turn is beautiful and I was so impressed by how clean they are,  also the environment is also very clean. Did I mention how amazing their food are! One of our  highlight of the trip was the food. They have the freshest food I have ever seen. They also have sea food in abundance. So, if you are a fan of sea food, then you definitely need to visit this amazing Island.

The Radisson Blu Resort was magical.

I saw these beautiful instagrammy buildings. I just had to take a cute photo.

If you've been here before, tag me on your photos on Instagram and do let me know your holiday experiences. Have a good week. Love Ivy x
