THe Choker Trend - Popular Demand
What can I say, and were can I start with the choker trend. If you look left, right, and centre everyone seems to be rocking the choker trend including yours truly of course. The choker trend is back and looking so much better than it was in the 90s. On the red carpet big celebrities like, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kate Hudson, and many more have been spotted wearing a choker. 
I'm in the process of lunching my second collection of my jewellery line and we made sure there are different styles of chokers available. (It won't be for long now before they are up on my website) so look out for that. Spring 2016 runway was filled with choker's including chain links at Chanel, artful ideas at J.W. Anderson and a new look at the scarves at Dior. 
When styling a choker, team it with a top or a dress that will exaggerate your neckline and shoulders. For example, an off shoulder top or dress is always a hit with this choker trend. Chokers are easy to pull of because they come in different styles such as metals, velvet, rhinestone, stretch fabric or leather. So you can actually get away with wearing any of these depending on the outfit you are pairing it with. My chokers got me snapping on snapchat ????. 
While black is the best choice for most African fashion bloggers in London, including myself, mixing in some gold details is a welcome addition. You can look for your old hair band and turn it into a choker if you don't fancy spending your hard earned money on one. I usually don't go for what is trendy, but I did break that rule for this one (laughs). There is a proved notion that any piece of cloth be it thick or thin, beautifully tied around our necks, with or without a pendant or even a bow had the power of putting all the focus on our pretty faces, while making us look slimmer on our chest area and of course beautiful. It also has a way of giving some classic elegance to our outfit. When wearing a choker, you can wear your hair loose or tied up, and you will still look great.
