Hello my loves, I hope you’ve had a fabulous week! With summer just around the corner and temperatures rising, you don’t need an excuse to go on a shopping spree and upgrade your summer wardrobe. So what better time for me to write about the latest fashion trends I have been seeing in London, and guiding you on how to wear and style them.
This Spring/Summer’s key trends are majorly influenced by looks seen on the catwalks throughout London Fashion Week. This season is all about fine details and soft hues, with denim taking centre-stage; raw edges and distressing are key to dressing this season. I love outfits that contrast the rugged look of denim against fine pretty details such as; beautiful embroidered jeans and beaded denim jackets. Don’t limit your denim to your jeans; denim dresses are in this season alongside shoes and accessories, read more about this trend here

Wear your denim with bold statement prints, gingham is making a comeback and has been seen all over recent catwalks , my fav looks pictured above by Peter Pilotto, Prada and House of Holland. My favourite way to wear this popular print would be on a ruffled shirt or floaty dress with my killer heels and a figure shaping belt. Other on trend prints include; tartan, stripes, and 70’s inspired florals, it is summer after all. The 70’s silhouette is also a big hit this summer; flared trousers (especially jeans) and baggy shirts with oversized sunglasses are guaranteed to get you looking bang on trend this season.
I’m currently loving an 80’s padded shoulder, seen in collections by Balenciaga, Chanel and Marni. I have seen so many exaggerated shoulders recently and I love to rock the look myself, I styled my favourite fuchsia pink shirt with my 70’s velvet flares for a retro day to night look. Fuchsia pink is bang on trend and the brighter the better; I am feeling a major girly vibe this season with princess skirts and ruffles everywhere. Think fancy this summer with metallic fabrics, shiny PVC and crushed velvet, let your outfit shine. Bedazzle yourself with oversized jewels and pendants, precious stones make a great statement, or go all out with a statement glitter heel, mules are also a huge trend right now, combining the two = perfection. Shop my collections here featuring this stunning wrap shoulder padded dress perfect for any glam event.

Let layering be your new best friend, whether it be dresses and jeans to crop-tops over shirts. Rock a bardot shoulder floaty top and try layering with a spaghetti strap slip dress or jumpsuit, the off-the-shoulder top is already made waves on the London fashion scene and is set to get bigger! Pair your layered look with a cute mini shoulder bag, beaded or embroidery to add an intricate touch.
Sheer fabrics are also forecasted to blow up, and are great to ahieve a subtly layered look. Thick wools and furs are transitioning to delicate light-weight fabrics for summer layering, corset layering will also be a favoured trend, as defined waists are endorsed recently. Experimenting with textures is a sure-fire way to make sure you slay this season, constrasting intricate textured fabrics against solid shapes is they way to go.
I hope you have found some inspiration throughout this post and will be inspired to style up your wardrobe for the up and coming summer. I would love to hear your thoughts and also see the way you style these trends, and the looks I’ve suggested. I wish you all a splendid week and look forward to posting next week!
