It’s BEGINNING TO LOOK AT LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

Hello my lovelies, it surely is beginning to look a lot like Christmas over here. What does Christmas mean to you? Leave me a comment below and tell me what Christmas means to you. For me, it’s a time of reflection, a time to sit and look back at the past months, a time to spend to family, a time of creating some beautiful and special memories.

What I look forward to more during this time of the year is decorating with my kids. It’s become our yearly tradition. We start by having tea, mulled wine,  some mince pies and nibbles. Then we play loud Christmas music, decorate and dance. This has over the years become a...

MAXI DRESSES FOR WEDDING GUEST

Wedding season is here and this year is much busier than usual with rescheduled ceremonies due to the gradual life of the lock down. I have gotten so many requests for what to wear to weddings this year and wanted to share a few favorites. When it comes to buying a dress to wear to a wedding, I like to buy a dress I will actually wear again so it doesn’t get worn once then sit in my closet for years to come. There are a few different types of ceremonies you may attend, so here are some picks depending on which celebration you may go to. More can be found here

Why Fashion Bloggers Are Rocking “Mum Jeans”

Remember when we used to tease our mum when she pulled on those faded, high waisted jeans? Well, it looks like we’re going to have to eat our words, because the mum jeansis back and it's up left and right on the street style scene and is even being sold by high-end designers like Alexander Wang and Levi's. Super popular in the eighties. I remember seeing mum's  rocking their mum jeans  Levi’s 501! Until recently, we couldn’t possibly think about wearing anything other than skinny jeans? The mum  jeans were considered as being unflattering and unfashioned. Well, all the ‘cool girls, celebrities, and fashion blggers, including myself are wearing them now. Mum  jeans gives you that cool, effortless vintage feeling and...

SPRING FASHION VERDICT FOR 2021

It’s rather difficult for any fashion editor or fashion influencer to admit that while we may live to try new styles and colours  each season, not everyone else will follow suit. In fact, only a fraction of the trends predictions  actually become viral. look  at  low-rise denim as an example. In truth, the best spring trends, and spring purchases when it comes to fashion, are a mix of divine timing and ultimately are championed by you, our devoted readers. So in light of that truth, as usual I am not eager to adopt any trends at all but to stay true to my style and possibly add more brainy colours to my wardrobe. Don’t we all need some beautiful bright pieces to brighten...

WINTER KNITS – HOW I STYLE A WINTER SWEATER

It’s officially the autumn/winter season. One of the seasons I love so much. I like to call it the chunky knits and boots season. Who doesn’t love a knit and boots!   For my birthday brunch, I picked this beautiful zara knit sweater. I paired it with a Fendi belt, a thigh high boots, a Hermes purse and  Chanel brooch. If you’re a fan of this blog, you will be used to my style terms by now as  I have always said and still say that; accessories can make or break an outfit. This is only a knit sweater,  but I have made my sweater look a million bucks by the accessories I have chosen to style it with.   What do you think of this look? Will you be trying...

My Birthday Celebrations in London

It was my birthday yesterday October 12,2020. I have celebrated my previous birthdays abroad since the last 5 years. I always love destination birthday celebrations with close family and friends. CHANEL PRICE INCREASE 2020: THE NEW EUROPE AND US PRICES

Chanel has increased the prices of their leather goods. Yes, you heard it right. Hello fashionistas, I'm sure you all have heard that Chanel has recently increased the prices of their leather goods. ( Handbags to be precise). In the middle of May, Chanel increased it's prices on majority of bags in the European market just as quarantine restrictions began to ease up and stores reopened across majority of the continent. Chanel US also followed suit some weeks ago and enact a price increase across majority of classic bags as well. Luckily for the US market, the percent increase is not quite as high as the EU faced. After Chanel increased prices for its European market, a lot of Chanel lovers including myself...

BLACK LIVES MATTER – BLACK TOP MODELS I ADMIRE

Today I want to put the spotlight on some amazing black fashion models that I admire. As an ex fashion model, I know the drive, sacrifices and commitments it takes to be a successful model and also a role model.  As a true fashion lover I decided to emphasize these women who are changing the fashion world and most importantly, using their voice and platform to positively affect the black community and the Black Lives Matter movement. From Indya Moore who gave the most emotional speech about fearing your life as a black transgender during the Daily Front Row awards in NY earlier this year to Adut Akech who recently won  the ‘Model of the Year” awards at the BFAs or...

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY WITH LOVE

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY  TO EACH AND EVERY MUM AND WOMEN WHO TAKE TIME OUT OF THEIR BUSY  SCHEDULES TO VISIT MY BLOG. IT'S BEEN A LONG JOURNEY WITH YOU ALL,  AND I WOULD NOT  CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. THIS MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND IS REALLY GOING TO FEEL LIKE SOMETHING ELSE, ISN’T IT?  NOW  MORE THAN EVER, WE TRULY REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING “TOGETHER” AND SAYING I LOVE YOU.  ALTHOUGH  MANY OF US WILL NOT  BE SPENDING MOTHER'S DAY WITH OUR MUMS THIS YEAR DUE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING, WE CAN STILL SPEND IT DIGITALLY OR HAVE A VIRTUAL CELEBRATION WITH OUR MUMS. THE THOUGHT OF SENDING A CARD THAT SAYS ''I LOVE YOU'' TO BRIGHTEN UP YOUR MUMS...
